April Lockhart
April Lockhart was born on July 4 1995 When she was in the seventh grade, she started playing the guitar as well as taking piano classes, which ignited her love for songwriting. at the age of 12, April wrote her first song Different. The year she turned 14 was when she was devoted for a long period of time to creating song concepts and practicing the music she was playing. The following months, she started taking writing excursions together with her dad to LA in addition to NY. The month also saw her include different topics related to some of her classmates who struggle in the area of peer pressure disabilities and even teen suicide in the song Take my Hand. Lockhart has become a sought-after lifestyle influencer as well as having partnerships with clean-cut beauty brands Ilia and YSL, has cultivated a large following. As a woman born with no left hand, she is an important part of her. However, it's not the only thing she has to tell. Lockhart doesn't deny her disability in her posts on Instagram, however she isn't making it the focal point of it. The point? We all have multiple aspects and that we are all unique and that we are more than our physical selves. Lockhart says in a video interview with Lockhart via video "I do not believe that disability will define my character. My goal is not to be an influencer on disabilities because I've got so much more to offer." This doesn't influence my day-to-day routine. I conduct doing my job as normal and have found different ways of adapting. It's a big aspect of my existence, and it's imperative to discuss the subject. Lockhart has been a great example to other women in the area of self-acceptance. However, she admits that she has had periods that made her feel uncomfortable about her appearance, and the clothes with arms. Now, though she dons anything she likes and uploads images of her outfits to social media with pride. Self-love she said is a kind of journey. "I believe that you'll ever get there," she said. But, this isn't the case with anyone that is prone to doubts. It's important to surround yourself with those who are able to see you.
