Her birth date is March 29th, 1985 in Roswell New Mexico. Gerina is the given name of her. Gerina Stevenson was born to Mexican grandparents Rita Stevenson and Alan Stevenson. She is American and comes from a Mexican-American background. Since she was a child she has had a strong interest in playing activities. Gerina began playing golf when she was 15. Gerina finished her high-school education at Goddard High School. She won the New Mexico State Golf Tournament during her time in high school. Her volleyball skills were also recognized at the national level. She went to the University of Texas in 2003. While in her senior years, she won each tournament she entered. During her undergrad time, she was awarded the Conference USA Individual Champion Player of the Year award and the UTEP Female Athlete of the year.
