Julia Fiona Roberts born to Betty Lou Bredemus (mother) and Walter Grady Roberts on October 28th, 1967. Roberts belongs to the Robertses' fourth generation that live in the Atlanta area beginning by her grandfather John Pendleton Roberts a farmer. Her father's passion for theatre was inherited by her. in theatre from an early stage. While studying in Emory University in 1952 he acted in productions on campus and in Atlanta. When he joined the Air Force, in 1953 he appeared in an airforce production in Biloxi together with Betty Lou Bredemus. The two married in 1955 and their first child Eric Anthony was born in 1956. Walter attended Tulane University New Orleans Louisiana following his departure from the Air Force in the year 1957. Walter began working for Atlanta Academy Theater and Harrington Scenic and Lighting Studio in 1960. In 1964, Walter as well as Betty Lou began production on a local Saturday morning children's television program known as Bum Bum and His Buddies which they financed their own. In 1964, Walter and Betty Lou founded their own organization called the Actors and Writers Workshop. It ran for six years. Lelisa Billingsley who is also referred to as Lisa was born in 1965. Julia Billingsley followed in 1967.
