Bill Self was one of the nation's most prominent and rich basketball players. He was born on December 27, 1962 in the city of Okmulgee. In December 2023, Bill has a net of around $10 million. After rebuilding his team, the Golden Eagles, Self was hired by crosstown rival Tulsa and played for the next three seasons (1998 to 2000) in Tulsa, accumulating a best-ever 74-27 mark. Self guided the Golden Hurricanes of Tulsa to two consecutive NCAA Tournaments, both in 1999 and 2000. Self led his team of Golden Hurricane in 1999-2000 to their first-ever Elite Eight. Self was born in Okmulgee, in the state of Oklahoma. The father of the family was girl's basketball coach as well as a teacher for the nearby Morris High School. An athletic scholarship was offered to Self from Oklahoma State University. He received recommendations for all four years.
